Seduced, yep, those Italians have got Julie Biuso again ...

Seduced, yep, those Italians have got me again ...

I'm in love with burrata, little pouches of creamy goodness, and super-stoked that what is produced here by Il Casaro is better than any I have tasted anywhere in the world. Yeah! You can taste for yourself at the Italian Festival in Auckland this Sunday.
Or get in the Italian mood and make a sublime salad with pears, prosciutto and parmesan. That's the thing about a lot of Italian food, it's simple, simply put together, with few ingredients, and each one is in there for a reason. But you must start with quality ingredients.
I've included a puttanesca sauce recipe as well because it is one of the handiest recipes to have in your repertoire.

Burrata with Caponata

Burrata, a little dome of happiness, filled to bursting with a rich creamy centre, barely holding its shape, and just wanting to burst open on your plate. Let it!

Pears Prosciutto & Parmigiano

Simple and seductive – juicy, sweet, salty, crunchy – a brilliant combination.

Much more
